We’ve talked in Getting Traffic Tips #1 about the benefits of getting more traffic by getting your links out there (called backlinks). Here’s another tip for offering doorways for people to find you.
Comment on other people’s blogs
When you comment on other people’s blogs, you’ll often be able to leave a link to your website in the comments field. If you are commenting on a highly trafficked blog, you often get visitors to click through to your website right then and there.
Regardless of whether or not that happens for you, this will count as a link in search engines each time you leave a comment.
You can either comment on blogs manually, or even hire a freelancer to comment on blogs with a link for you. You should never spam a blog using automated software. Just do what you feel comfortable with, add VALUE with your comments (GIVE to GET), and remember that search engines like Google have ways of figuring out when you’re trying to game them. Above all, have fun participating on sites that engage you… since those are also ones most likely to engage your perfect customers.
If you’re starting to SHOULD on yourself…
It’s easy to get caught up in all the “shoulds” about internet marketing… I “should” publish ezine articles every week, I “should” post on other people’s blogs, I “should” look for joint ventures. That’s a quick way get bogged down and overwhelmed!
If your energy is aligned (you’ve gotten rid of at least some of those pesky blocks and fears around business abundance), the universe is ready to send you customers. If you think of the different tips and suggestions as a buffet that you get to choose from, each one offering the universe a different conduit to send you what you’re asking for, it can be a lot more fun.
So many of us have been taught that business should be HARD! That we must struggle to make ends meet. What if, instead, it is possible to follow your guidance and play while you grow your thriving business? Many successful businesses are developed out of creativity and curiosity which makes the time and energy invested FUN.
Let’s use Tapping (EFT) on that…
Karate chop: Even though I was taught that this should be hard and boring, I’m open to finding the fun in my business.
Even though I thought I had to work hard to make money, I’m open to seeing this a different way.
Even though I’ve been dreading the work needed to grown my business, I would rather enjoy the process and allow my creativity to flow.
Top of the Head: They always said you had to work hard.
Eyebrow: I saw them struggling and tired.
Side of the Eye: Isn’t that the way it’s supposed to be?
Under the Eye: It doesn’t look like much fun.
Under the Nose: I thought I had to struggle to grow my business…
Chin: so I could have financial abundance.
Collarbone: I’ve been dreading the process.
Under the Arm: I’ve felt tired just thinking about it.
Top of the Head: What if it could be fun?
Eyebrow: I do believe in what I’m marketing.
Side of the Eye: I do like to help people.
Under the Eye: What if I could enjoy myself more?
Under the Nose: What if it didn’t need to be hard?
Chin: I could be curious.
Collarbone: I can take it a step at a time.
Under the Arm: This might just be fun!
Take a deep breath.
If you notice a lot of resistance to having fun or playing, you can purchase this recording: I want to Play…Isn’t That Foolish?
